Ikkyu (1st kyu) — Brown Belt Requirements
Ikkyu is the sixth senior rank in USJA judo (brown belt). Candidates must be 15+ with 12 months / 96 classes at their current rank, then pass a written and technical exam.
The exam is cumulative: Ikkyu candidates are also responsible for everything from Rokkyu, Gokyu, Yonkyu, Sankyu, Nikyu.
